Exam preparation tips for high school

  • Organise your Space for Study – quiet place eg bedroom, no distractions
  • Review and Practice Old Exam Papers – be organised so you can find the exams you’ve done and the ones you plan to do
  • Set Study Goals –
  • Make Use of Diagrams and Flowcharts.
  • Get Together with Friends for Study Sessions – make sure you do study on your own, this is how you’ll find out if you know your stuff
  • Describe your Answers to Others –
  • Study to Suit your Learning Style – study in a way that works for you, best way is to do some of each subject every day
  • Take Regular Intervals – regular breaks when revising
  • start revision well before exams – at least 3 weeks before exams
  • get help if you need it –
  • be prepared for each exam day – be organised and get there early
  • don’t stress after exams – focus on the next one
  • drink enough water –
  • eat nutritious food
  • get plenty of sleep
